Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
1. Our commitment
Creek Foundation respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share information when you visit our website, contact us, volunteer, partner with us, or make a donation.
2. Information we collect
We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, donation information, volunteer interests, partnership inquiries, and messages. We may also receive basic technical information such as browser type, device type, referring pages, and website usage data.
3. Donations and payment information
Online donations may be processed by Stripe or another secure payment provider. Creek Foundation does not directly store full payment-card numbers. Payment providers process information according to their own privacy policies and security practices.
4. How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, process and acknowledge donations, coordinate volunteers and partnerships, provide requested updates, improve our programs and website, maintain records, prevent fraud, comply with law, and advance our charitable mission.
5. How information may be shared
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that support payments, communications, website hosting, analytics, professional services, or legal compliance. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect the rights and safety of Creek Foundation or others.
6. Cookies and analytics
We record limited activity events for program-interest links, volunteer-interest links, successfully received inquiries, and donation checkout starts in hosting logs. These event payloads contain no names, email addresses, message contents, payment details, or full URLs. Interest-link tracking respects your browser’s Do Not Track setting. Hosting and payment providers may separately process technical information for service operation and security. These activity signals are not a count of completed donations; verified payment records are maintained in Stripe.
7. Data security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including legal, accounting, and nonprofit recordkeeping obligations.
8. Your choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we maintain, subject to legal and recordkeeping requirements. You may also unsubscribe from promotional communications at any time.
9. Children’s privacy
Our public website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website without appropriate consent.
10. External links
Our website may link to third-party services. Creek Foundation is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of those third parties.
11. Policy changes
We may update this policy periodically. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
